Overview

Once a printmaker’s studio, the Treehouse is now a large, light-filled romantic place to stay for two. Ten minutes’ walk from arty Penzance, this unique, secluded tree house in Cornwall has a breezy, open-plan layout on the ground floor and a romantic, en-suite bedroom up on the mezzanine level. Floor-to-ceiling windows and a covered balcony running the length of one side make this treehouse in Cornwall the perfect perch for enjoying lazy breakfasts and dinners with a view - in this case of six acres of private, tropical Cornish gardens running down to a stream.

Things to do

  • Make the most of the Cornwall treehouse atmosphere by sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee, or a glass of wine, soaking up the soothing sounds of birdsong and running water as you gaze out over leafy boughs

  • Head to the galleries and museums of St Ives, or visit landmark attractions such as St Michael’s Mount, Lands’ End and the Minack Theatre for a dose of culture on the doorstep

  • Go beach-hopping: sandy Porthcurno and surfer hotspot Sennen Cove are among the favourites within 10 minutes’ drive. If you’ve been inspired by Raynor Winn’s The Salt Path and want to stride out between swims, this far-western part of Cornwall is one of the most spectacular stretches along the South West Coast Path

  • West Penwith, the area around Penzance, is home to some of Cornwall’s best restaurants, bars and cafés. You’ll find recommendations for our favourites in your guest information pack, or ask for suggestions

  • If your treehouse stay has you craving more opportunities for forest bathing in one of Cornwall’s acclaimed sub-tropical gardens, you’re in luck: one of the best-known local gardens, fern-dappled Tremenheere, is just down the road.

  • Shop your way around the delis, fishmongers, bakeries & butchers in Penzance then hunker down in your secret hideaway cabin, making the most of the Treehouse’s open-plan kitchen to cook up a Cornish feast
